Atlanta Chamber, Altrincham

This Grade II Listed outbuilding was in a poor state of disrepair. Gard was employed to undertake works to leave the building clear, safe and watertight.

Scope of Works

  • Erect fully sheeted scaffold to all elevations.
  • Remove paint from external brickwork via wet grit blasting.
  • Board up window openings with decorated marine grade plywood.
  • Supply and fix polycarbonate skylights to open area in roof.
  • Overhaul rainwater goods to leave in good working order.
  • Make good any holes in brickwork.
  • Concrete repairs to entrance canopy.
  • Dig and cast new footing to reconfigure steps to rear entrance. Fix new handrail to suit new configuration.
  • Lay flags to tie in with adjacent paving at the bottom of newly configured steps.
  • Supply and fix new double door to rear entrance.
  • Crack stitching to brickwork.
  • Supply and fix new steel columns in the basement to support ground floor slab, prior to removal of internal basement walls.
  • Patch repairs to asbestos roof.
  • Clean roof.
